Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations . This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York.  Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors.  Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Under direct supervision, administer specific components of our HR management systems, which includes end-user support, testing, reporting and documentation. Respond to end-user questions and concerns. Responsible for the data integrity of specific blocks of HRIS data.
 
  • Perform routine data entry as required
  • Resolve Help Desk tickets
  • Provide HR functional end-user support, such as performing data corrections, generating ad hoc reports and processing pre-defined routine reports
  • Perform predefined data audits to ensure data integrity
  • Work with HRMS Analysts on special projects as required
  • Using predetermined scripts, work with HRMS Analysts to execute user acceptance testing of system functionality during upgrades, implementations and routine updates
  • Serve as HRMS liaison to location end-users providing knowledge transfer of HR systems processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a closely related field with no experience required; OR
  • Associate's degree in a Business related field of study and one (1) year of experience in Human Resources, which includes progressive experience using an HRMS; OR
  • Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources, which includes progressive experience using an HRMS

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to travel to operating locations
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
  • Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing
