Please note:  This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time.  The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations.  This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, New Hampshire, Michigan, Illinois and New York.  Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors.  Should the position shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

With some supervision, will be responsible for supporting a customized recruitment lifecycle that will reinforce company hiring initiatives and variable project goals.
 
  • Determine applicant qualifications by conducting resume/credential/application reviews
  • Conduct comparison of those elements with job requirements and thoroughly pre-screen those applicants whose background/experience best meet requirements of the position
  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources to generate candidate leads; source and attract a qualified pool of both active/passive candidates through sourcing techniques that include; social media, job posting boards, cold-calling, networking/referrals, Internet mining, professional networking sites
  • Maintain lines of communication with candidates
  • Manage real time requisition and candidate process flow within Applicant Tracking System, to ensure weekly analytics and metrics reporting is accurate
  • Maintain tracking system of all assigned requisitions and applicant activity
  • Consult with Hiring Managers and Human Resources to develop pipeline strategy that will best identify candidates to meet job requirements and preferred qualifications
  • Support Company/industry/diversity recruitment events and job fairs, both locally and nationally
  • Participate in the capacity of a spokesperson at community and occupational/school meetings, so to increase brand awareness of the Company and its job opportunities
  • Support Staffing/Recruitment projects to fortify department and Company initiatives; i.e. military, trade schools and social media
  • Cultivate a strong customer service orientation with Hiring Managers, work collaboratively on teams and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization
  • Possess and apply broad knowledge and understanding of EEO and Affirmative Action policies as determined by the Company as well as state/federal agencies to ensure compliance
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of Recruiting/HR-related experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of Recruiting/HR-related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related
  • Three-plus (3+) years of experience efficiently managing full-cycle recruiting activities
  • Work experience in a fast paced, goal oriented employment/placement agency environment
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with SuccessFactors, MS Office 360; ideally advanced-level with Excel
  • Practical experience and easement with data analytics, i.e. compiling information, creating presentations and presenting report details at all department levels
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.  Ability to manage conversations and foster relationships with both internal/external customers of all levels
  • Experience coordinating and managing College/University campus recruiting activities (career fair, information sessions, etc.) including interacting with College/University Career Services; i.e. Department professors/staff and student professional organizations
  • Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking and organization abilities
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as permitted by health regulations
  • Broad knowledge of Freeport-McMoRan or experience working within a mining or industrial environment

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
  • Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws
