What You Will Do
- Responsible for proactively compiling, monitoring and managing Collaborative Planning report to ensure adequate stocking levels / recognize shortages and deficiencies, in support of customers in maintenance, planning and operations. Receive and review a wide variety of requisitions. May support one or more specialized areas requiring an increased depth of knowledge.
- Responsible for communicating/expediting urgent customer requirements from maintenance, planning and operations to GSC Shared Services and working in the GSC Shared Services Model.
- Obtain quotes from key suppliers using parts information from customers in maintenance, planning and operations, monitor supplier performance, and lead supplier evaluations. Interview vendors to obtain information concerning product/service, price, availability and delivery date.
- Collaborate with assigned customer departments in maintenance, planning and operations to ensure needs are understood, documented, validated and requirements are met. Discuss defects with quality control/inspection personnel to determine source of defect and initiate corrective action.
- Analyzes data to perform root cause analysis on issues that impact inventory performance and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Review bid proposals from vendors and recommend or enter into contracts within limits of delegated authority.
- Communicate master data changes and additions (MARS) to appropriate groups such as BOM, equipment and material master data on behalf of customers in maintenance, planning and operations. Maintain records of purchased items, cost, delivery, performance and inventory and approve bills for payments within limits of delegated authority.
- Ensure adherence to General Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial laws (SEC), Company policies, internal controls (SOX) and Principles of Business Conduct (PBC) etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring To Freeport
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, OR
- High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting data to large groups.
- Organizing data and communicating with vendors/suppliers.
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $62,000-$85,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
