Description
Ensure that safety, production and quality goals assigned to the plant are met by providing guidance to and ensuring coordination between the Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehousing, Safety and Quality Assurance supervisory groups. Assist General Manager or Plant Manager in other operational and administrative capacities. Act as Manager Operations in the absence of the General Manager or Plant Manager.
- Oversee Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, Environmental cost Control, Shipping/Receiving and all other operations related to the running of the mill and/or plant.
- Plan, direct and coordinate plant production, warehouse and maintenance activities to achieve expected production and quality levels in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner. Monitor and report progress toward production goals.
- Direct plan engineering and evaluate recommendations for maintenance projects, plant and capital improvements and expansions.
- Direct Quality Assurance and continuous improvement teams to improve productivity and product consistency/quality.
- Work closely with Sales on customers’ needs/issues, visit customers as required.
- Perform the responsibilities of the General Manager or Plant Manager in their absence.
- Assist the General Manager or Plant Manager in directing and communicating Company activities in health and safety, environmental and labor relations.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of plant operational experience, including supervisory or management experience.
Preferred:
- Chemical or Metallurgy background and experience
- Experience in hot metal /molten metal process
- Industrial plant management experience
- Metals refining, melting, casting or rolling mill experience
- ISO Quality System understanding/ experience
- Lab/Metrology experience
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $126,000-$177,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
