Description
Performs duties related to general building construction including, but not limited to plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, painting, masonry, hydro-blasting, welding, fabrications, HVAC, Information Systems and other assigned activities.
- Works with and supports various site departments, such as crushing and conveying, mill, moly processing, mine and hydrometallurgical
- Assists with and performs routine maintenance activities such as lubrication and mechanical PM’s on heavy equipment, process equipment, conveying systems and HVAC systems
- Assists with and performs non-routine maintenance activities such as maintaining roadways, building maintenance, troubleshooting, environmental activities, and emergency shutdown repairs in various departments
- Operates various equipment such as front-end loaders, motor graders, forklifts, excavators, compaction equipment, overhead and mobile cranes, skid-steer loaders, 25 ton dump trucks, backhoes, water trucks, street sweeper, vacuum trucks, rubber tire and track dozers, man lifts and fuel trucks
- Works with various building materials such as hardware, finishing materials, fixtures and various structural elements
- May assist with and perform duties related to ordering and receiving materials
- May perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in the crafts of welder, boilermaker, machinist, plumber or carpenter
- Proficient in welding/cutting
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
Preferred
- High School diploma or GED
- Min 2 years residential/commercial plumbing
- Min 2 years flatwork concrete
- Previous buildings and grounds maintenance experience
Criteria/Conditions
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
- This is a Safety sensitive role
- Employee will be required to work in environments which may include exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms
- Occasionally may be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds during the course of the work day
- Will be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.50 - $29.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
