Where You Will Work 

Our Collaboration Hub in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, Louisiana, serves as an important location for our global support groups, including investor relations, finance, engineering, marketing, communications, and information technology. Employees in New Orleans mostly follow a hybrid schedule where they collaborate virtually and may be required to attend occasional in-person meetings or training. The Hub is located inside a beautiful historic building and provides office space, meeting rooms, kitchen and dining space, phone booths, and technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. New Orleans is a popular tourist destination known for its rich history, architecture, cultural arts, music, and cuisine. Many great hotels, galleries, restaurants, and museums are a short walk from the Hub.  

What You Will Do

  • Manage the planning and implementation of software solutions tailored to the needs of project teams ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams (engineering, project controls, procurement, contracts, etc.) and MIS stakeholders to identify solution requirements, establish system architecture, and develop business intelligence (BI) views to facilitate project execution.
  • Responsible for managing the scoping, development, and execution of all software development, data warehousing, data architecture design, data engineering, and BI development required to support project needs.
  • Manage the implementation of quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the reliability, performance, and usability of deployed solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of software solutions, data management, and BI reporting practices in project delivery.

What You Bring To Freeport

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline and eight (8) years of experience in related field with a focus on engineering or EPC projects; OR 
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline and six (6) years of experience in related field with a focus on engineering or EPC projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data architecture, data engineering, and BI development principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies, including but not limited to SQL, Python, ETL tools, BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and EPC project delivery, including development, planning, and project execution.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of engineering and procurement processes and workflows.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and organize at an advanced level.
  • Knowledge of project planning and controls with an understanding of multi-discipline interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of drawing production and document control methodologies.
  • A high degree of understanding of cross-functional project team interactions (engineering, procurement, contracting, construction, etc.) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate others.
  • Ability to handle complex problem-solving tasks.

What We Offer You 

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $126,500 - $177,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance.  Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration.  Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.  More details will be shared during the hiring process. Click here to view a sample of Total Rewards Estimate for this role.
