Our Collaboration Hub in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, Louisiana, serves as an important location for our global support groups, including investor relations, finance, engineering, marketing, communications, and information technology. What You Will Do

The primary role for this position is to coordinate with the various groups within the NOLA Project Office, PTFI site personnel, and contractors to ensure that all project-related documents, drawings, and change requests are routed to the appropriate people and stored and maintained within the document management system in a manner that meets or exceeds proper document controls management standards.

  • As the Sr. Document Controls Specialist – Projects, you manage contractor Document Controllers contributing to project SharePoint sites, including QA/QC of uploaded data to ensure consistency with NOLA Project team Document Controls standards and oversight of project job book creation.
  • In this role, you provide project Document Control responsibilities for all PTFI projects, including maintenance of the Project Distribution Matrix and workflow review templates.
  • You receive and process all documents from Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, Project Controls, outside vendors, and EPC groups, coordinate with support groups within the NOLA Project Office, and provide training as needed.
  • You also create and manage Document Control operating standards and procedures and perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring To Freeport

  • High School Diploma or GED and eleven (11) years of Document Management and/or Project Controls experience or equivalent work experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of Document Management and/or Project Controls experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert user of Aconex.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Sound understanding of proper Document Controls standards and processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to train others.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with numerous entities while maintaining a Document Controls system that is consistent and adheres to high standards.
  • Project Management and/or Project Controls experience.

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $35.50 - $49.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
