Provide advanced technical expertise, monitoring, and advisory support for Crushing and Conveying control systems, automation, and industrial networks to ensure safe, reliable, secure, and cost-effective operation of material handling and processing facilities. The position focuses on system reliability, availability, cybersecurity, safety integrity, and predictive maintenance, ensuring compliance with international control, safety, and Operation Technology standards while supporting operational excellence and business objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

1.           Monitor, review, and analyze the performance of Crushing and Conveying control systems, automation platforms, and industrial networks.

2.           Conduct daily remote monitoring and field inspections to verify equipment status, alarms, safety compliance, and system integrity.

3.           Perform fault diagnostics and root cause analysis for control system and network-related failures and support implementation of corrective actions.

4.           Develop and improve predictive and preventive maintenance programs for control systems and automation assets.

5.           Ensure all control and network activities comply with international standards, company policies, and approved procedures.

6.           Recommend operational and fieldwork conditions to ensure correct application of standard operating procedures.

7.           Provide expert input to control system upgrades, network improvements, and special improvement projects.

8.           Coordinate with General Foremen and maintenance teams to review weekly maintenance plans, backlogs, and system priorities.

9.           Deliver technical training, coaching, and structured knowledge transfer programs for national employees.

10.        Provide professional advice to supervisors and leaders on manpower management, work planning, and task assignment.

11.        Support the design and development of maintenance and operational facilities to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.

12.        Implement and enforce control-system-related safety standards to minimize risks to personnel, equipment, and production.

13.        Demonstrate visible safety leadership and intervention to stop unsafe work conditions.

14.        Apply risk-based thinking in automation design, troubleshooting, and modifications.

15.        Ensure compliance with electrical safety, LOTO, control system isolation, and access control requirements.

16.        Integrate safety considerations into all system changes and diagnostic activities.

17.        Consider environmental impacts related to system operation, energy efficiency, and abnormal events.

 

Qualifications

•             Trade certification (or equivalent) with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in maintenance.

•             Industrial automation and control systems expertise, particularly Rockwell Automation (PLC, HMI, VFD, FactoryTalk).

•             PLC programming proficiency (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text).

•             Industrial networking and operation technology communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, Modbus).

•             Experience with remote monitoring and historian systems (e.g., OSI PI).

•             Knowledge of bulk material handling systems, interlocks, and sequencing logic.

•             Understanding of functional safety systems and safety PLCs (e.g., GuardLogix).

•             Operation Technology cybersecurity principles including access control, segmentation, and risk mitigation.

•             Ability to analyze operational data and translate findings into improvement actions.

•             Computer literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SAP, and control system tools.

•             Act as a technical authority and trusted advisor through expertise and professionalism.

•             Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

•             Effective written and verbal business and technical communication.

•             Achievement-oriented with focus on continuous improvement.

•             Able to coach, mentor, and develop others with cultural awareness.
