Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you’ll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

What You Will Do
Provide strategic and operational leadership to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and enable innovation opportunities across the organization. Lead the innovation portfolio by delivering insights into investment trends, portfolio performance, and capability gaps. Partner with business leaders to identify strategic priorities and emerging opportunities, aligning them with innovation initiatives that drive business value and support long-term growth.
- Lead the development, governance, and continuous improvement of innovation processes, including opportunity intake, technical and economic evaluation, resource planning, decision readiness, and investment decision-making.
- Manage portfolio-level stage-gate governance and value realization tracking, delivering strategic insights that inform executive decisions on innovation investments, resource allocation, and portfolio acceleration.
- Lead the Trials & Substitutions function, ensuring innovation initiatives are effectively structured, evaluated, and advanced to support timely adoption and scalable implementation.
- Direct early-stage economic assessments for emerging concepts and technologies, developing business cases, value projections, risk analyses, and recommendations to support portfolio prioritization.
- Facilitate governance and decision-making forums for Discovery-stage innovation, enabling initiatives to advance into ReMi Development, continue through alternative pathways, or be strategically deprioritized.
- Partner with ReMi Development and Deployment teams, Operational Excellence, site operations, and corporate support functions to shape and execute the company's innovation strategy and drive successful implementation of innovation initiatives.

What You Bring To Freeport
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related discipline and eight (8) years of experience in related innovation/transformation management field; OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related discipline and six (6) years of experience in related innovation/transformation management field.
- Extensive experience with portfolio management, opportunity prioritization, and value tracking.
- Ability to shape decision making logic to effectively gain agreement on pursuing or deprioritizing an innovation initiative
- Strong understanding of value modeling, economic evaluation methodologies, and uncertainty analysis.
- Experience evaluating emerging mining, metallurgical, and process technologies.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Ability to synthesize large, complex concepts into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong critical-thinking, opportunity-framing and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency with economic modeling tools, data analytics platforms, and communications software applications.
What We Offer You
Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.

What We Require
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
- Ability and willingness to maintain a hybrid work schedule, including working on-site at least one (1) day per week.
