Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations . This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York.  Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors.  Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Responsible for designing technical application and database security controls and architecture to strengthen the company’s security posture and protect critical applications and sensitive data. Analyze technologies and recommend upgrades/changes based on assessments of the organization's current and future needs. Collaborate with the team responsible for the overall security, performance, and availability of applications, databases, and integrations. Manage and mentor engineers and analysts to implement new technical security controls to reduce risk.

  • Collaborate with management and other architects to design technical application and database security controls, create implementation plans, and oversee transition of operational management to security operations to protecting critical applications and sensitive data.
  • Manage and mentor internal and external engineers and analysts reporting to you to deliver projects successfully.
  • Create both short and long-term application and data security roadmaps based on an understanding of the organizational strategic requirements, technology context and business needs.
  • Work effectively with other IS teams and outsourcing provider(s) to ensure technology security solutions are effectively managed and performed.
  • Ensure a thorough analysis of service results and respond to any escalated service delivery issues.
  • Define and review reports to ensure all application and database security services are completely and successfully delivered. Proactively intervene to correct problems when they are encountered. Use metrics to improve processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree and ten (10) years of experience in security systems technologies and ISACA, SANS, ISC(2), or CEH Certification or related security certification OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field and eight (8) years of experience in security systems technologies OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field and six (6) years of experience in security systems technologies and ISACA, SANS, ISC(2), or CEH Certification or related security certification OR
  • Master's Degree in Information Systems or related field and six (6) years of experience in security systems technologies OR
  • Master's Degree in Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of experience in security systems technologies and ISACA, SANS, ISC(2), or CEH Certification or related security certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Application security certifications, such as CEH, LPT, OSCP, SANS, GWEB
  • Experience security SAP or other large ERP systems
  • Experience with security applications in Azure including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions and integrations
  • API security experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows IIS Server Security, Microsoft SQL Security, Snowflake, and Azure SQL Manage Instances
  • Experience in C#, JavaScript, Python, and SAP ABAP programming languages
  • Experience with modern authentication protocols (i.e. OAuth, Open ID Connect, etc) and preferably on the Azure AD Identity platform
  • Active in security organizations, such as ISSA, ISACA, SANS, etc.
  • Threat and Vulnerability Management experience preferred (Tenable/Nessus)
  • Cloud Security Posture Management experience preferred (Zscaler, others…)
  • Experience with Penetration Testing preferred
  • Experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms (Anomali, others…)
