Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you’ll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

Description
Under general supervision, provides technical support and guidance for environmental projects and programs at assigned site.
- Prepares applications for air quality permit revisions and renewals. Analyzes environmental and emission data for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepares submittals to regulatory agencies in compliance with permit requirements (e.g., emission inventories, compliance certifications).
- Evaluates and assesses environmental risk and develops programs for risk reduction.
- Collaborates in recommending appropriate action to management in compliance with regulations.
- Reviews and/or prepares and maintains detailed records and files of environmental data and communications.
- Evaluates and administers contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
- Maintains basic working knowledge of national, regional and local environmental, occupational health, and other applicable regulations. Maintains knowledge of site environmental policies and procedures.
- May provide leadership to less experienced engineers and technicians.
- May serve as Project Manager or technical expert on small to medium-sized environmental projects (e.g., compliance, remediation, or reclamation).
- Leads or participates in regular audits and inspections of operations areas for purposes of ensuring compliance with site environmental policies, procedures and requirements of the Environmental Management System.
- Coordinates the timely recycling and disposition of materials and other company assets in compliance with applicable legal and other requirements.
- Tracks and reports the recycling and disposition of materials and other company assets as directed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Agricultural, Mining, Metallurgical, Geological or similar) and at least three (3) years environmental or related experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering in a related field and at least one (1) year environmental or related experience.
- Additional certification or licensure appropriate to the job may be required or preferred: (US Examples include: HAZWOPER, Method 9, DOT, EMS Auditor, Asbestos, Water Treatment Operator, or CHMM.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge/experience with Federal and Arizona air quality regulation and programs (SIP, FIP, NSR, Emission Standards, Etc.).
- Experience with evaluating permitting needs for projects and process changes and the preparation of air quality permit applications and modifications.
- Experience communicating with and leading personnel from operational departments through air quality compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with data analysis and validation.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance and management systems.
- Project management experience.
Criteria/Conditions:
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
- Travel up to 60% of the time
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $85,000-$116,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
