Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Employees working on a flexible schedule collaborate online and in-person at our Collaboration Hub at the Cotton Center in Phoenix. What You Will Do
Under direct supervision, deploy industrial IoT solutions that connect physical assets to enterprise data platforms, enabling operational insight and automation across sites, while focusing on field engineering tasks such as hardware selection, device configuration, and solution handoff to site teams in alignment with enterprise standards.
- Participates in execution of IoT field engineering engagements by gathering operational requirements, applying approved hardware and design patterns, and working with customers to support standardized design decisions
- Configures and programs field devices and ingestion components within vendor-supported platforms, including datalogger scripting, payload codecs, or telemetry rules engines.
- Supports field devices and IoT infrastructure through root cause analysis of failures, connectivity issues, and data quality problems, while keeping stakeholders informed and contributing to post-incident documentation.
- Operate within established device standards and approved hardware catalogs, providing implementation feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as requested.
What You Bring To Freeport
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical or a mining-related Engineering discipline, and one (1) year of experience in industrial IoT or field device engineering/instrumentation implementation projects.
OR
- High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in IoT-related technologies, including demonstrated hands-on experience with low-voltage field devices including cameras, sensors or data loggers, and associated field wiring and communications infrastructure.
Must be customer service-oriented and possess good organizational and interpersonal skills. - Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written.
- Foundational industry certifications such as CCNA, Azure IoT Fundamentals (AZ-900/AZ-220 path), or ITIL Foundation are a plus.

What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $75,000-$104,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
