Where You Will Work    

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, and more. Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits. 

Description

The Manager Capital Rebuild is a pivotal role within the OI Maintenance Department, reporting directly to the Manager of Mine Maintenance. This role is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle rebuild programs across all America sites. The Manager coordinates with Site GMs, Department Managers, and third-party contractors to ensure efficient and effective rebuild processes. They oversee a group of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who ensure quality during the rebuild process. This role is crucial in maintaining the longevity and efficiency of our mining operations through the rebuild program.

  • Accountable for the development and execution of Capital Rebuild Plans, overseeing the equipment through the rebuild stage, and back into operational service. 
  • Responsible for collaborating with relevant internal teams and external third party contractors to define the strategy of the rebuild program. This includes defining the scope of work, setting timelines, and coordinating efforts across all equipment types (Haul Trucks, Shovels, etc.).
  • Engages with leaders across site maintenance divisions to define the operational standards, maintenance protocols, technical requirements, and administrative processes essential for the effective implementation of the rebuild program.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to both internal teams and third-party contractors on the rebuild process and methodology. This includes sharing best practices, facilitating knowledge transfer, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Monitors the progress and effectiveness of the Capital Rebuild program utilizing established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This includes tracking performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes to optimize the program’s success.
  • Manages the Capital Rebuild team, sets priorities, oversees and provides constructive feedback on planned activities related to the rebuild program, ensuring adherence to project guidelines and timelines.
  • Collaborates with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) and Accounting to manage contracts for equipment rebuilds and oversees budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls for the rebuild program.
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline or related scientific field and eight (8) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, operations, maintenance and construction; OR 
  • High School Diploma and thirteen (13) years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, and terminology in project management, engineering, operations and maintenance.

 

Criteria/Conditions:

  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator.  Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting. 
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $40.50 - $56.00/hour. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
