Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, and more. Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits.
Description
Under general supervision, provides analytical leadership and support to Category Managers and GSC Management through utilizing different data gathering/management tools and total cost of ownership techniques to improve and optimize category management and Global Supply Chain processes.
- Run the data / reporting for both Category Planning and Vendor Management as needed
- Analyze Data / Running Scorecards & working with the Vendor Management team to make this process efficient and valuable
- Build and maintain Should Cost Modeling – as new modeling is needed or expiring models need to be revisited, act as the SME for Should Cost Modeling management
- Work in conjunction with the vendor management team to ensure / audit that vendors are in adherence and compliance to the contract terms and pricing.
- Perform Market Research in conjunction with the Category Planning team in support and development of the strategic plans with focuses on:
- a. Indices
- b. Market trends
- c. Industry movement (M&A, etc.)
- d. Supplier research
- e. World Events (proactive / reactive)
- Assist GSC Category Management Director as well as other GSC Leadership on additional work which may require analytical expertise
- Develop project presentations to Management that clearly communicate results of analysis. Provide periodic reporting on core commodities and services and ad-hoc analysis.
- May be given responsibility for managing 1-2 regional categories in a vendor management type role
- Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline and six (6) years combined experience in inventory management, system & project management and analysis projects required; OR
- Master’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline and four (4) years combined experience in inventory management, system & project management and analysis project required
- Ability to identify / analyze priorities
- Strong organization, record keeping, reporting and data analytic skills
- Ability to train / instruct others effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with various areas of the organization
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills (listening, interpreting, empathizing, challenging)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant experience in managing multiple $5M+ categories in the Mining, Industrial, Heavy Manufacturing, etc. industries
- Ability to develop and implement Should-cost modeling for multiple categories including the development of the models and the maintenance of the variation triggers
- System and GSC Process capabilities and proficiencies: CAS, SAP, Commercial T&C’s, Power BI, Business Objects / EDW, strong use of Access and Excel with Pivots
- Experience presenting to leadership
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $95,500-$134,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
