Where You Will Work   

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Employees working on a flexible schedule collaborate online and in-person at our Collaboration Hub at the Cotton Center in Phoenix. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Description

Responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing the organization's electronic communications infrastructure and user connectivity to email services. The primary focus is on Microsoft Exchange (Online), which integrates with other Microsoft 365/Azure solutions such as Outlook clients (desktop, mobile, and web), Email Security Systems, Microsoft Teams, and Mobile messaging support. The role also involves influencing the adoption and enhancement of other Microsoft 365 technologies across the organization.
  • Architect and design electronic communications solutions in accordance with the chosen strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to research, troubleshoot, and resolve problems involving electronic communications and perform root cause analysis.
  • Define and enforce Policies & Standards for Electronic Mail usage and support.
  • Evaluate and optimize application performance and identify performance improvement options and monitoring opportunities.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other areas, both within the Technology Organization and within the business.
  • Strategize and innovate solutions to client problems within service level time frames.
  • Research and recommend implementation and communication of new features and capabilities within the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Plan and execute projects, communicate progress, problems, and best practices to management, leads, and team.
  • Define and oversee the daily administration of electronic communications services/software including Exchange, M365 (Exchange Online), Proofpoint, Outlook, mail routing, etc.
  • Responsible for global cost and storage management for the platform.
  • Lead and mentor the development, validation and documentation of work processes and automations that increase team effectiveness and promote self-service.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of experience in a technology related field, including five (5) years of experience with relevant technologies;

OR

  • Associates degree and ten (10) years of experience in a technology related field, including five (5) years of experience with relevant technologies;

OR 

  • High School Diploma and twelve (12) years of experience in a technology related field, including five (5) years of experience with relevant technologies
  • Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Exchange On-premises and Exchange Online solutions
  • Experience with email/messaging security 
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (online) and its integration with other Microsoft 365/Azure solutions required
  • Competent knowledge in the use of PowerShell for configuration/administration and scripting operational tasks required
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with other Microsoft 365 architects and engineers required
  • Knowledge working with MS Windows operating systems and mail client applications (e.g., Outlook) on servers, workstations, laptops, or tablets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience designing and implementing Microsoft Exchange on-prem and Minimum of 5 years’ experience on Exchange Online solutions required
  • Previous experience administering 3rd party Email Security products (e.g., Proofpoint) highly desired and experience with mail routing and email security
  • Experience in enabling Email for applications such as SAP, SuccessFactors, S4Hana, ServiceNow, and all other applications
  • Experience on Third Party application integration and add-ins to Outlook
  • Knowledge of a wide array of Microsoft 365 and Azure configurations highly desired
  • PowerShell scripting or other script language experience highly desired
  • Project management with five (5) years of experience leading technology project teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Online (O365/M365) environment including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Forms, Whiteboard, Delve, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience working in Agile project management methodology and Agile teams. Skilled in collaborating with Developers, Architects, and Business Customers.
  • Experience collaborating directly with stakeholders to identify, analyze and gather solution requirements.
  • Experience analyzing business processes and using requirements to develop common data models.
  • Experience with data analysis and manipulation.
  • Experience with Visio and project management software (MSProject, Planner, DevOps).
  • Embodies Freeport Edge principles and behaviors.
  • Specific knowledge of data, networking, computer system security, and general knowledge of other technology infrastructure components
  • Knowledge of capacity planning and disaster recovery issues in a hybrid Exchange environment required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and its integration with Exchange Online desired
  • Elevated level of knowledge working in MS Windows operating systems at both the server & workstation level
  • Strong ability to learn modern technology and consume information quickly
  • Strong research, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols

What We Offer You 

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $118,000 - $165,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance.  Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration.  Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.  More details will be shared during the hiring process. Click here to view a sample of Total Rewards Estimate for this role.
