Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you’ll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

What You Will Do
- Primary responsibilities include full life cycle of Talent Acquisition across multiple channels, providing creative and strategic solutions to support company hiring initiatives.
- Review applications to ensure that the candidate’s background, experience and/or education align with the minimum qualifications of the role. Conduct additional screening as applicable, initiate background checks, prepare pay models, generate, and extend offers as an agent of the company. Monitor and track successful completion of pre-hire requirements to include Drug Tests and Pre-Employment Medical Exams.
- Manage real time requisition and candidate process flow within Applicant Tracking System. Create a positive hiring experience by providing updates to candidates and hiring managers through various lines of communication.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, and Site HR. Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to clearly address key responsibilities of the position requirements, environmental conditions, target audience (internal and/or external). Provide training and guidance on the ATS tool as needed.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with recruitment agencies and representatives. Communicate requirements and support needs on a consistent basis to assist with qualifying appropriate candidate pool.
- Manage the offer, negotiation and closing of candidates to include partnering with the Compensation department to review salary/compensation issues, identify hiring incentives and/or to negotiate salaries.
- Lead Company, industry and diversity Talent Acquisition events and job fairs with the goal of networking and building relationships with potential candidate communities. Communicate detailed information to candidates regarding the company, salary, and benefits. Provide additional support with screening, interviewing, and presenting at recruitment events.
- Lead Talent Acquisition projects and team trainings to meet department and Company initiatives, i.e. military, trade schools and social media.
- Responsible for generating routine and ad hoc reports and/or PowerPoint presentations. Present data to Site HR, Talent Acquisition leadership and/or at career events.
- Consult with hiring managers, site HR and other members of the Talent Acquisition team to foster a pipeline strategy that will best identify candidates to meet job requirements and preferred qualifications.
- Provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to peers and contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring To Freeport
- High School diploma or GED and six (6) years Talent Acquisition/HR-related experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years Talent Acquisition/HR-related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent experience working in Talent Acquisition and/or Recruiting for a global mining company.
- Proficient in Excel, to include experience with Formatting, Pivot Tables, and Formulas (e.g., V-LOOKUPs).
- Broad knowledge of Freeport-McMoRan.
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $64,000-$87,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
