Description

Mechanical and electrical repairs to machinery, equipment and buildings in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.  These duties include welding, cutting, pipefitting and light machining.  Will apply knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and electrical maintenance.
 
  • Comprehends and executes assigned duties quicky and accurately.
  • Operates various equipment (stationary and mobile).
  • Performs manual lifting of various weights, shapes and sizes.
  • Executes Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Reads machine prints or schematics.
  • Measures and works to detail.
  • Operates transportation equipment (forklift, etc.) and cranes.
  • Will be trained to safety operate a forklift.
  • Assists in training new employees
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one (1) year in relevant Trade or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.50 - $29.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
