Description
This position plays a critical role between site and the talent acquisition team. Primary responsibilities include overseeing talent acquisition efforts, provide creative and strategic solutions to ensure site hiring goals and initiatives are understood and met.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, and Site HR. Attend and participate in leadership and workforce planning discussions. Act in liaison capacity to address candidate pipeline related matters and to help forecast the talent acquisition plan for the site. Provide training and guidance on the ATS tool as needed.
- Manage real time requisition and candidate process flow within Applicant Tracking System. Create a positive hiring experience by providing updates to candidates and hiring managers through various lines of communication.
- Review applications to ensure that the candidate’s background, experience and/or education align with the minimum qualifications of the role. Conduct additional screening as applicable, initiate background checks, prepare pay models, generate and extend offers as an agent of the company. Monitor and track successful completion of pre-hire requirements to include Drug Tests, Pre-Employment Medical Exams and confirm new hire orientation date.
- Responsible for generating and creating routine and ad hoc reports and/or PowerPoint presentations. Present data to Site HR, Talent Acquisition leadership and/or at career events.
- Lead Company, industry and diversity Talent Acquisition events and job fairs with the goal of networking and building relationships with potential candidate communities. Communicate detailed information to candidates regarding the company, salary and benefits. Provide additional support with screening, interviewing and presenting at recruitment events.
- Lead Talent Acquisition projects and team trainings to meet department and Company initiatives, i.e. military, trade schools and social media.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with recruitment agencies and representatives. Communicate requirements and support needs on a consistent basis to assist with qualifying appropriate candidate pool.
- Provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to peers and contractors.
- Possess and apply broad knowledge and understanding of EEO, OFCCP, and Affirmative Action policies as determined by the Company as well as state/federal agencies to ensure compliance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED and six (6) years Talent Acquisition/HR-related experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years Talent Acquisition/HR-related experience
- Understanding of EEO and Affirmative Action policies
- Understanding of employment law as it relates to hiring practices
- Knowledge of common recruiting processes, procedures and sourcing techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Human Resources function including recruiting activities or within an employment/placement agency
- Intermediate level experience working with Excel
- Experience generating recruiting reports and metrics
- Broad knowledge of Freeport McMoRan
Criteria/Conditions:
- Travel up to 10%
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Compensation:
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $60,000-$82,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
