Where You Will Work
In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship. Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology.
Description
Lead, support, and/or collaborate with other talent management team members in the implementation of a significant range of competency-based learning and assessment programs to a culturally diverse range of learners in both on job and off job situations globally. Contribute to the department and overall division team efforts, at all times demonstrating those behaviors that fully support talent management values policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate talent management values, policies and procedures, Freeport-McMoRan SHE policies and procedures within the section.
- Contribute to the overall team effort and teamwork within the talent management department.
- Ensure that all competency-based learning programs are professionally designed, evaluated, and delivered/facilitated in a wide range of on and off the job situations in order to meet Freeport-McMoRan employee development needs and quality standards globally.
- Assist in ensuring that section employees thoroughly understand and competently apply professionally accepted principles of adult learning so that all competency-based programs delivered utilize these principles, giving learners maximum opportunity to learn and develop job competence.
- Aid in ensuring that all delivery and assessment schedules are designed and implemented in such a way as to ensure that programs are delivered to meet section strategic targets and customer requirements.
- Assist with the implementation of all aspects of the company learning management system. Ensure all participant learning and assessment data/results are accurately recorded and reported so that participant records are consistently kept up-to-date and accurately recorded.
- Seek and respond to customer learning and assessments. Provide customers with competent advice and support regarding the wide range of talent management services and products in order to assist talent management to meet /exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with global talent management departments/efforts and travel frequently to PTFI and other sites to collaborate concerning employee learning needs, support employee development and align talent management programs.
- Review Employee development needs to deliver the required competency improvement targets.
- Support the implementation and alignment of Inclusion & Diversity programs globally.
- Adjust content and rates of delivery of learning programs to meet the expectations of customers and individual learners.
- Design, create, review, evaluate, and adjust the content and rate of delivery of competency-based learning materials and assessment tools to meet policy standards.
- Review sections delivery plans and expenditure and ensure that all delivery of competency-based learning and assessment programs meet talent management quality standards.
- Support the development of a world-class apprentice program and other Papuan development initiatives at PTFI and establish mechanisms to implement areas of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of directly related experience, including three (3) years as a supervisor or in a mid-level management role, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years directly related experience, including three (3) years as a supervisor or in a mid-level management role OR
- Master’s degree and four (4) years directly related experience, including three (3) years as a supervisor or in a mid-level management role
Criteria/Conditions:
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
- Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as allowed by applicable state laws
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $93,000-$130,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
