Where You Will Work   

In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship.  

What You Will DO

This entry-level position supports operations and/or maintenance areas in an industrial setting. Employees work in environments where the primary objective is safe production. There are many work activities taking place at one time, and work tasks may change many times during a work shift. 
 
  • Area housekeeping to include tasks such as shoveling, using a fire hose, and digging
  • Operation of processing/mobile equipment
  • Material lifting/handling/loading
  • Operation of hand/power tools
  • Equipment/facility inspection and maintenance
  • Other tasks as assigned

What You Bring To Freeport

 

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

 

Preferred

 

  • High School diploma or GED
 

What We Offer You  

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $23.00-$23.50/hour.  

 

   What We Require    

  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.   
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.   
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
