Description
Under general supervision, supervises, coordinates and controls the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit.
- Works with project leads on scheduling, planning, and prioritizing of projects.
- Inspects and evaluates work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.
- Implement work plans according to approved schedule.
- May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult.
- Assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff for assigned work unit.
- Conducts performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
- Prepares estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities.
- Maintains an inventory of parts and materials. Approves purchases of materials and equipment; maintains time, materials and equipment use reports. Requisitions tools, supplies, materials and equipment
- Trains staff in safety procedures alongside training department.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one (1) summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in mining or industrial environment, including supervisory or lead experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Water Treatment knowledge such as Reverse Osmosis, Ion Exchange, HDS etc.
- Basic lab/sampling experience.
- Plant commissioning.
- Basic project management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
- Strong scheduling and prioritization skills.
- Ability to be flexible and pivot based on changing demands.
Criteria/Conditions:
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $72,000-$98,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
